Omar Group CEO Presents at NCC Forum
Omar Group Chief Executive, Dean Westmoreland was delighted to be asked to present at the NCC Annual Members Forum on 16th April in Knutsford.
The NCC’s Annual Members Forum provides the industry with a fantastic opportunity to get together, listen to the experts, discuss hot topics and enjoy an industry dinner.
Thought provoking presentations were held throughout the day with the industry specific morning sessions being split into tourer and motorhomes, and caravan holiday homes and park homes. After lunch the afternoon sessions, introduced by NCC Chairman, Colin Crewther, continued with a varied programme covering topics from ‘Money and Power’ by Paul Mason, Channel 4’s analyst and economics expert, to the slightly more light hearted ‘Tries and Highs’ by Martin Bayfield, former British Lion.
Dean Westmoreland was first to present in the Caravan Holiday Home and Park Home sessions, with a presentation on ‘The Market’. Dean’s presentation covered BS3632 products in the marketplace from its history, to the dynamics that affect the market today.
Dean commented on his presentation: “It’s been a turbulent few years in the sector and being on the brink of an election, uncertainty is in the air. Having said that, the park home side of the market has seen positive changes with the consolidation of parks and manufacturers, whilst the move ‘up market’ from caravans to lodges has driven strong demand on the leisure side.”
All in all a positive outlook from Dean with the future for park homes and lodges looking good.
