Omar Group is delighted to announce that they have been included in two prestigious reports to be published in April: the Financial Times, FT 1000, a special report on the fastest growing companies in Europe, and the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, a league table which ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing profits.
Published on the Financial Times’ website on 7th April, and in the Financial Times newspaper on 24th April, the Financial Times, FT 1000 is a first edition, special report, compiled in partnership with Statista. The report identifies the top 1,000, European companies with the strongest growth between the years of 2012 and 2015. Heralded as “Growth Champions”, the innovative and fast-growing companies included in the report are credited as being the driving force of the European economy, generating jobs and sustaining Europe’s competitiveness.
Many months were spent researching millions of European enterprises to compile the Financial Times, FT 1000. The research included public calls for participation, intensive database research and direct contact with tens of thousands of companies; for Omar Group to be included is a true honour.
The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, published on 2nd April 2017 is an annual league table, now in its 18th year, which ranks top-performing, private British companies with the fastest-growing profits over three years; Omar Group has been placed 45th in the listing.
Research for The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100, was carried out between October 2016 and March 2017 by Fast Track who also publish the report.
As a market leading, solutions provider, designer and manufacturer to the residential park home and lodge park marketplace, Omar Group has built up its brand portfolio over recent years, and the group now encompasses five distinct and respected brands: Omar Park & Leisure Homes, Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes, Omar Park Development Services (OPDS), Boutique Lodges, Holidays by Omar and Omar Refurbishment Services.
The team at Omar has worked tirelessly over the years, focusing on delivering best-in-class products and best-in-class customer service. Their endeavors have certainly paid off, and the groups’ turnover has quadrupled from 10m in 2010, to around 40m today. Over this period the company has also created around 270 jobs and taken on 30 apprentices in trades as diverse as Information Technology and Computer Aided Design to Carpentry and Plumbing.
Due to demand for the group’s luxury lodges and park homes, in 2015 Omar invested in its manufacturing capability by opening a new satellite manufacturing facility in Hull. 2017 saw further significant investment with a 40,000 sq ft. factory extension to the group’s 13½-acre production facility at its headquarters in Brandon, Suffolk.
In recognition of their exceptional growth, in 2016 Omar Group was named in two prestigious reports by the London Stock Exchange Group. At the beginning of the year the group was listed as one of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain, and in June, the group went on to be been selected as one of 1,000 Companies to Inspire Europe, a report which listed the 1000 most dynamic and fastest-growing small and medium-sized companies in Europe.
Omar Group CEO, Dean Westmoreland commented: “We are incredibly proud to be included in both The Financial Times FT 1000 as a “growth champion”, and The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100. To be included in such prestigious reports is an enormous achievement and testimony to the hard work and dedication of the circa 400 team members here at Omar; I’m proud to work alongside them.”
