John Lally, Director General of the National Caravan Council (NCC), presented ten long service awards this week to Omar Group staff at their headquarters in Brandon Suffolk.
The NCC, as the UK’s trade body for the tourer, motorhome, caravan holiday home and park home industries, awards Long Service Awards to recognise and thank employees for their loyalty and sustained contribution to the Industry. Awards are given to those who have worked continuously within the industry in full-time employment for 25 or 40 years.
25 year Long Service Awards were presented to: Stefan Gregorowicz (Windows Fabricator), Maria McDonald (Purchase Ledger Controller), Ian Powell (MRP Controller), Leslie Bonnett (Senior Electrician), Lee Pearce (Technical Director), Daniel Harris (Total Quality Co-Ordinator), Peter Berwick (Group Sales & Design Director) and Roy Greenacre (Group Operations Director). 40 year Long Service Awards were presented to John Hobday-Pepper (outgoing Technical Director) and Paul Pleszko (former Chairman).
Dean Westmoreland, Omar Group Chairman & Chief Executive commented: “I was immensely proud to see so many valued members of the Omar team, including five directors, receive long service awards; the knowledge and experience that they bring to the business, across the functions, is invaluable. We’ve got a great business, built upon great people and great loyalty. The guys also really appreciated John Lally coming all the way out to Suffolk to make the awards in person and the very kind words he said about our business and the fantastic, hardworking and loyal team we are blessed with.”
