Omar Group named as one of LSEG’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2017

Omar Group is delighted to announce, that for the second consecutive year, they have been named as one of the London Stock Exchange Group’s, 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2017; a report which showcases the UK's most inspiring and fastest growing companies.

As a market leading, solutions provider, designer and manufacturer to the residential park home and lodge park marketplace, Omar Group has built up its brand portfolio over recent years, and the group now encompasses five distinct and respected brands: Omar Park & Leisure Homes, Wessex Unique Lodges & Park Homes, Omar Park Development Services (OPDS), Boutique Lodges, Holidays by Omar and Omar Refurbishment Services.

The team at Omar has worked tirelessly over the years, focusing on delivering best-in-class products and best-in-class customer service.  Their endeavours have paid off, and the groups’ turnover has quadrupled from 10m in 2010, to around 40m today. Over this period the company has also created over 250 jobs and taken on 30 apprentices in trades as diverse as Information Technology and Computer Aided Design to Carpentry and Plumbing.

Due to demand for the group’s luxury lodges and park homes, in 2015 Omar invested in its manufacturing capability by opening a new satellite manufacturing facility in Hull, creating 50 new jobs.  2016 saw further significant investment with a 40,000 sq ft. factory extension to the group’s 13½-acre production facility at its headquarters in Brandon, Suffolk which created a further 80 jobs.

Earlier this year, Omar Group reached another milestone in their rich history, with significant investment in the business from Rutland Partners.  This investment will be used to fund further expansion in the growing park home and lodge sector.

Omar Group Chairman & Chief Executive, Dean Westmoreland commented: “We are proud of what we have achieved as a team here at Omar Group.  We’ve already had a great start to 2017, first by being placed at No 45 in the Sunday Times’ 18th annual Profit Track 100 and then by being included in the Financial Times, FT 1000, a report on the fastest growing companies in Europe. To have now been recognised for the second consecutive year by the London Stock Exchange Group as one of an elite band of SMEs that gives inspiration to the nation is a real credit to the 400 strong team we have working here.”
