As staycation demand continues, and with so many quality developments to choose from, standing out from the crowd can be a challenge. With support and advice from Omar Park Development Services, Bosworth Lakeside Lodges has achieved this, whilst also entering an exciting new era of stable and sustainable growth.
Located near to Market Bosworth on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border, Bosworth Water Park was a successful caravan and camping site which saw around 4,500 to 5,000 visitors a day. Due to the UK’s variable weather however, footfall was unpredictable and hard to forecast, which led the owners, Toby and Ben Ryley, to get in touch with Richard Sigsworth from Omar Park Development Services to explore the options.
Set in 50 acres of beautiful parkland with 20 acres of lakes for boating, fishing, sailing and paddle boards, the park had everything going for it – the perfect setting for a high-end luxury lodge development. Richard worked with Toby and his wife Gemma to develop the park, replacing the previous income, whilst also creating a truly exceptional lodge environment – Bosworth Lakeside Lodges.
From planning, through to design, Richard helped to make Toby, Ben and Gemma’s vision come to life. With such a fantastic location, it seemed only natural that a super lodge was the first to arrive on-park – and it sold straight away. More have followed and when complete, the development will have a total of 103 lodges.
Gemma has been significantly involved in the design of the lodges alongside Richard and the Omar Group team, and the results have been outstanding. The first lodge was displayed at the Camping, Caravan and Motorhome Show in February and was a highlight of the show. Exhibiting at the event alongside Omar Group provided great publicity and enabled the owners to promote their new lodge park to a substantial audience.
Another element that has been important to this development has been providing sustainable lodge solutions as an option to owners. This has been important to the owners in a move away from reliance on resources in short supply, and a number of the lodges have a variety of sustainable elements built in.
With more lodges in the pipeline and a fantastic business model in place, the park is set to go from strength to strength.
