Omar Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Rob Frankum as UK Sundecks, Managing Director Designate, and the promotion of Aaron Woodall to the newly created position of Operations Manager.
Aquired by Omar Group in October 2018 to further strengthen the groups’ offering as a solutions provider to the luxury lodge and park home marketplace, UK Sundecks is a leading supplier of PVCu decking. With the UK’s variable weather, the galvanised steel sub-frame and anti-slip PVCu decks supplied are much more durable than other types of decking, and with demand growing through the staycation boom, the business is going from strength to strength.
Rob joins the group from Neuteq Europe Ltd, a manufacturer for the automotive industry, where he has been Managing Director for the past three years. Rob has a proven track record across manufacturing, sales, operational management and strategic planning. His strong background in engineering, which includes being a Sales Director before moving into general management, will equip him well as he takes over leadership for UK Sundecks.
Rob will succeed Jake Randle, the current Managing Director of UK Sundecks, who will step away from the business at Christmas to pursue other interests.
Jake, who is well-know and respected within the industry, has extensive commercial and technical knowledge of the decking market. He will work closely with Rob over the coming months to share this knowledge and help prepare Rob to take the business to the next level.
In addition to recruiting a new Managing Director, UK Sundecks is proud to announce the promotion of Aaron Woodall, UK Sundecks Technical and Installations Manager, to the newly created position of Operations Manager. Aaron’s new role will see him being responsible for: supporting the production planning process; ensuring production targets are met; communicating changes in the order process to relevant parties; monitoring decking projects and teams, and ensuring staff are happy and operating efficiently.
With a comprehensive knowledge of how UK Sundecks operates as a business, Aaron is perfectly positioned to be able to drive operations forward.
