What does “Turnkey” price mean when buying a park home?

The vast majority of park homes supplied are available to purchase ready on a park, so the prices advertised tend to be for a full package price known as a Turnkey price. Purchasing a park home in this way should make moving day simple and hassle free, allowing you to enjoy the comfort and security of your new home from day one.

This turnkey price includes specialist transport from the manufacturer to the park and siting the home. Costs also include: the base for the home, commissioning for plumbing and electrics, skirting around the bottom of the home and steps to the front and back doors.

If you decide to specify a home for a vacant plot, the final cost will also depend on the model chosen, size and specification (fixtures and fittings etc.).

What is included will differ from park to park so it is always best to check the small print of the written statement prior to signing it. It is also worth remembering that other factors will affect the final price of your park home including the location of both the park and the plot, the size of the plot and whether fitted decking, a driveway or outbuildings such as a garage or shed are included.

If you are purchasing for your own land, the price the manufacturer sells the home at won’t include specialist transport, siting or commissioning of utilities. You will also need to consider the costs of skirting the home, construction of any access steps or ramps or any further landscaping you may want.

As with all matters of this nature, we strongly advise that you seek professional advice and if you have any questions, speak to the park representative handling your purchase.
