Omar Group Announce Group Chief Executive Promotion

Omar Group is delighted to announce the promotion of Graeme Craig to the position of Group Chief Executive. This is a reflection of the exceptional contribution Graeme has made, steering the business through a global pandemic and into a new phase of growth and expansion.

The group recently announced a new manufacturing facility for premium single holiday homes in Ringwood, Dorset. Alongside this, UK Sundecks have expanded and relocated to a larger facility near Stourbridge in the West Midlands. 



This now gives the group 4 regional operational hubs in the UK:

Brandon, Suffolk for the South East
Omar Group Head Office, showground, specification rooms and manufacturing facility for BS 3632 park homes and lodges.

Hull for the North and Scotland
Showground, specification rooms and manufacturing facility for BS 3632 park homes and lodges.

Ringwood, Dorset for the South and South West 

Showground, specification rooms and manufacturing facility for EN 1647 holiday homes.

Stourbridge, West Midlands for the Midlands and Wales
Specification room and manufacturing facility for UK Sundecks.

The 4 facilities between them provide 500,000 sq ft of office and manufacturing facilities, around 30 acres of real estate and three showgrounds, giving the group capacity to deliver sales of up to £160M.

The manufacturing facilities in Suffolk, Hull and Dorset will all have showgrounds, sample rooms and the ability to host customers; with areas for sales staff across the group to hot-desk. In addition, the new UK Sundecks site will have a specification room, hot-desks and meeting rooms to provide a base for the group in the Midlands. 

Graeme, supported by the group’s leadership team, have driven this expansion and growth in the face of unprecedented challenges presented by the global pandemic.

Dean Westmoreland, Group Chairman commented: “Graeme joined us almost 3 years ago and during this time has made an outstanding contribution to the company, steering Omar Park Homes safely through the pandemic. He  has worked closely with the team to ensure best-in-class Covid­Secure Protocols; and has effectively led the reshaping of our operations  in a socially distanced, post-covid world, whilst working with the team to manage the challenges to our inbound supply chain. Alongside this, his management of our order book and our customers’ expectations, during a significant period of disruption to the supply chain, has been exceptional. 

“All these jobs were mammoth tasks; I have always liked the expression ‘steel is forged in fire’, and this can certainly be true of Graeme – his promotion to the role of Group Chief Executive is very well deserved!”

Graeme stated: “Since joining Omar there has been exceptional change to the business, our industry and the world as a whole. The pandemic has had a big impact on our operating procedures and processes, despite this, and to some degree as a result of this, our  business  is growing exponentially. We are entering a new and exciting phase of growth and expansion and I’m proud to be part of it. In his new role, Graeme will continue to report directly to Group Chairman, Dean Westmoreland, but will take full responsibility for all 3 group business units; Omar / Wessex UK Sundecks and the new premium holiday home business.
