Omar goes from strength to strength
Market leading park home and luxury lodge manufacturer Omar Park and Leisure Homes continues to out perform the market and defy current economic trends, having grown its top line by 20% in the past year. Having suffered at the hands of the global credit crunch in 2008/9 Omar has dusted itself off and climbed back into its long standing position as a leader in the park home and lodge market. Omar has long been known for its build quality, craftsmanship, outstanding design and market leading customer care. Over the past two years it has updated and refreshed its entire product range as well as launching ten brand new models, six luxury lodges with RRP’s between £45,000 and 175,000 and four park homes with RRP’s between £36,000 and £175,000. Leaving it with a range of 24 homes and lodges to suit all tastes and pockets, as well as a bespoke park home and lodge design service which it offers free of charge.
The first quarter of 2012 has been particularly busy for the Omar team as they roll out a plan to increase factory output by 40% between December 2011 and April 2012. Since Christmas Omar have already recruited 11 new production staff, plus 4 other new staff members in design, marketing, sales and procurement, further recruitment is planned for production later in March as order booking continue at a pace.
During February Omar’s Sales, Design and Marketing teams were also busy attending three industry events. The Scottish Caravan & Outdoor Show at the SECC, The Destinations show at Earls Court and the NCC’s new show The Motorhome Camping & Caravanning Show at ExCel. In addition to this Omar sponsored and exhibited at the BH&HPA Conference in London. The ExCel show saw the unveiling of Omar’s stunning new contemporary luxury lodge, The Inspiration and its new contemporary park home, The Image.
Order intake over the past quarter has been outstanding as the market has responded to a well finished, well designed, quality product backed up by industry leading customer service. In December two individual orders, one for Lodges and one for Park Homes each worth £1¼M were won and final negotiations for a further £1M lodge order are well advanced. 2012 should be another growth year for Omar with a number of new and lapsed customers placing orders.
Omar Chief Executive Dean Westmoreland commented “the last 3 years have been very tough for the team at Omar but we have never lost sight of our core beliefs and brand values; Innovation, Design, Style, Quality, Craftsmanship, and Customer Service. There is an over capacity in our marketplace and plenty of people deep discounting and offering extended credit. However we at Omar believe that quality will out! Our team have been fantastic since I took over the group two years ago, I invite you to take a look at our product and judge for yourself”.
