Omar Expand Sales Team
Having delivered 25% compound annual sales growth across the past four years with an outstanding 49% sales growth last year, Omar has further strengthened its sales team. Peter Berwick, Group Sales and Design Director commented: “Offering an outstanding customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do here at Omar. In recent years however, having built strong relationships working closely with our trade partners on park, it became clear that we could improve our support for retail customers.
Our three group websites attract approaching 30,000 hits per month and we receive between 100 to 150 enquiries through this channel alone each month. We were not responsive enough to our retail customers, nor were we pro-active enough in qualifying retail leads and matching and referring retail customers to parks. To this end, in October we were delighted to appoint Mandy Challis as Retail Sales Manager.”
Mandy joins Omar from Bloor Homes and has a wealth of experience in helping members of the general public choose their new home. Mandy has already added significant value, improving lead conversion rate and delivering virtually complete retail sales to a number of key parks.
Omar Group has also restructured its Area Sales Managers with Nathalie Montague moving across to the Wessex brand as Sales Manager; effective 1st January 2016. For the Omar brand: Tom Conman retains his responsibility for the North of England and Scotland; Daniel Evans joined Omar in November as Area Sales Manager for the West of England and Wales, and the new look of the team is completed by Laura Sanders who joins Omar in January as Area Sales Manger for the East of England.
Daniel brings with him a vast amount of industry experience joining Omar from Pemberton Group, where in recent years he has built up significant experience of BS3632 products. Daniel commented: “Having the opportunity to join Omar is a fabulous career break; I have long admired their product and I am already enjoying working with such a professional and well-disciplined team.”
Laura is a Business and Systems Graduate with experience selling B2B into a number of blue chip operations. Laura commented: “I’m really excited to join such a successful and dynamic business and look forward to meeting many of Omar’s customers at the forthcoming Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC.”
Omar’s office based sales team has also been strengthened by the addition of a Sales Administrator and the recruitment of an additional Sales Correspondent is progressing well.
