Omar collaborates with Radmiser Lightwaverf to offer smart power in park homes and lodges
In collaboration with Radmiser Lightwaverf, Omar Group is further strengthening its eco offering with the introduction of a smart power, heating and lighting control system.
Park operators and holiday and park home owners are now being offered a smart system which gives complete control of heating and lighting via an app. based interface. The system is not only capable of controlling individual homes, it also allows entire holiday parks to be controlled and monitored centrally using a web based energy dashboard alongside booking and park management systems.
The smart system, which is now available as part of Omar’s eco offering, is available as an optional extra on all Omar Group park homes and lodges and to existing holiday homes and park hire fleets; costs available on request.
As a cloud-based application, the smart system permits simple installation in place of existing fittings in Wi-Fi enabled parks. A modular energy control dashboard enables park operators to individually control and monitor energy usage and set heating schedules and temperatures according to occupancy.
The system, primarily designed to reduce energy consumption, has the potential for substantial cost savings and allows central control without the need for staff to enter each home. Another benefit to the system is real time and historic reporting which allows optimum use of the system.
Home and away settings ensure lights switch off with a time-limited override for housekeeping staff. Power sockets can be used to control devices that are often left on standby (increasing savings and acting as a safety measure), and for essential devices to be locked on. In contrast, other devices can be locked off with limited intervention to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
Further control by ‘geo-fencing’ the system via a smartphone enables pre-set heating temperatures and designated lighting for a warm and well-lit arrival in your home.
