Omar Celebrates at The World of Park & Leisure Homes Show
Omar had a lot to celebrate last week at The World of Park & Leisure Homes Show, not only for reaching their 50th Anniversary year, but also for winning Park Home of the Year for the second year running with their all-new park home the Anniversary.
Starting off the show in style, an impressive, and very large anniversary cake, shaped in the letters of the Omar logo was laid on for the trade day along with a glass of Champagne to toast Omar’s golden year. Omar’s Chairman Paul Pleszko, whose father David Pleszko founded the company said: “We wanted to do something special to celebrate our 50th year and the World of Park & Leisure Homes Show presented the perfect opportunity. It was lovely to have so many of our friends and customers join in with our celebrations and to win Park Home of the Year for the second year running made a great show even more special.”
The Anniversary Park Home
Designed in celebration of Omar’s 50th Anniversary, the Anniversary park home was launched, and subsequently won Park Home of the Year 2015 at the show. The brainchild of Omar’s Sales Director Peter Berwick, this home brings with it a completely new concept in layout and interior design.
The distinctive exterior has a lovely bright and welcoming feel and benefits from boxed out windows, pale blue cladding detail (other colour options also available), a feature front door under a central recessed roof dormer, Juliet balcony to the master bedroom and a unique sun-room with feature glazing.
Inside a clever floor plan allows flexibility with folding doors giving the option to open-up the living space or to have separate rooms. The spacious lounge in soft warm tones flows through into a large kitchen with full array of integrated appliances and a dining area, and then continues through into a light and bright sunroom, perfect for peace and tranquility. The living space proved to be a huge hit with visitors and the sun-room in particular led to many a comment along the lines of “this would be my room”.
Off the hall there is a fully fitted study and from there you go though into the bedrooms. The master bedroom with its inspired layout has the king-size bed central to the room, set behind a half height wall concealing a convenient dressing area. Behind that, ample wardrobe space wraps around the corner of the room and on the side and front elevations large windows allow light to flood in. The spacious en-suite is another room that provides options and includes not only a bath but a large walk in shower too.
Peter Berwick commented: “We wanted to create a home to celebrate Omar’s 50th year that provides high style, luxury, practicality and flexibility, but one that is affordable too; that’s quite a tall order! To have won despite being up against some of the most expensive and luxurious homes being produced in the UK today, is a huge achievement and is testimony to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Omar. The Anniversary is not just a show piece designed to impress though, we’ve already got orders in the book!”
The 50’ x 22’ Anniversary park home displayed at Stoneleigh is now available to view at the Omar Showground in Brandon, Suffolk.
The Ikon Park Home
Also launched at the show was the stunning new 2015 Ikon park home with its revised exterior, new contemporary interior design and fresh layout. The new model certainly impressed visitors with many commenting that they would have voted for it as park home of the year (unfortunately only one home per manufacturer could be nominated)!
The new exterior, whilst retaining the overall feel of the original model with its long slender windows, had additional cedar panels to the front, giving a slightly softer look. The side elevation was also revised with the large glazed areas and cedar cladding now set in perfect symmetry.
Inside, a stunning, contemporary new colour scheme of greys, creams and plums flows throughout and a new layout, perfectly in tune with modern day living, provides both practicality and high style.
A few details to note in this stunning new model include: the large master bedroom with its generous storage and indulgent en-suite; the granite-faced bath in the bathroom (which is truly to die for); the elegant simplicity of the hotel style beds; the large, bright kitchen / dining area with its stylish breakfast island and skylights and not to forget the spacious lounge with its stunning feature chimney breast.
Tom Conman, Area Sales Manager (North) commented: “We’re delighted with the response to the 2015 Ikon park home, visitors loved the bright, contemporary and fresh feel and the spacious layout. The Ikon offers something a bit different from traditional park homes it terms of overall feel and exterior styling and the new model is already set to be a winner!”
The 50’ x 20’ Ikon park home displayed at Stoneleigh is now available to view at the Omar Showground in Brandon, Suffolk.
The Heritage Park Home
Winner of Park Home of the Year 2014, the top-of-the-range Heritage park home once again impressed the crowds with its distinctive exterior and luxurious interior features and design.
The impressive exterior with its extended front dormer supported by fluted pillars drew in the crowds and those who were viewing the home for the first time were in for a real treat; this home is simply stunning!
With a spacious fitted kitchen designed to accommodate everything you could need and a bathroom and wet room that spell pure luxury, the Heritage raises the bar in terms of kitchen and bathroom design.
The kitchen includes a Rangemaster, full range cooker with wok attachment and griddle, a matching cream American fridge freezer that even has a drinks and ice dispenser and a stylish Belfast sink! The bathroom includes an indulgent slipper bath with freestanding waterfall tap and the beautiful bedroom even has its own wet room and dressing room.
The Heritage is a real statement park home that offers high style and absolute luxury and with orders taken at the show, its certainly not waning in popularity!

The Tudor Park Home
The Tudor park home was incredibly well received and visitors particularly liked the change in colour to the Tudor style beams and exterior walls that have given the home a warm, inviting and cottage feel.
Coming in at a surprisingly affordable price, the Tudor is a traditional and elegant home with a choice of layouts. The model displayed had a spacious ‘L’ shaped lounge and dining area but the home is also available with a cross lounge and a separate dining area.
The living space is comfortable and stylish with carefully chosen fabrics and elegant furnishings. The kitchen, in soft pastel tones doesn’t just look good, it’s practical too and comes with integrated appliances as standard. Bedrooms come complete with matching bed sets and headboards and the master bedroom comes with a handy walk-in wardrobe and a striking fully tiled corner shower to the en-suite.
The Tudor certainly lived up to its reputation as being excellent value without compromising on comfort or style!
The 40’ x 20’ Tudor park home displayed at Stoneleigh has been sold to Berkeley Parks and is available for sale at Cauldron Barn Farm Park (Dorset), priced from £199,950. For more information please call 01935 862 079 or visit www.berkeleyparks.co.uk.
The Kingfisher RT Luxury Lodge
Originally launched in 1992, the Kingfisher luxury lodge, credited as creating the luxury lodge market, has been the most popular lodge in the UK for many years and it’s popularity, if judging by reaction at Stoneleigh, is certainly set to continue!
The full glass front fascia with feature lighting creates a light and airy feel - perfect for park settings allowing the outside in and with vaulted feature ceilings, the bright and spacious feel continues throughout.
The model displayed at the show with its impressive roof terrace proved to be a real showstopper and on sunny days, a constant flow of visitors were seen to be enjoying the spacious upper decking area. With an architectural spiral staircase leading up to the roof terrace, the stunning exterior radiates style, but this lodge doesn’t just look good - as with all Omar lodges - it’s also built to last (to BS 3632, the standard for residential park homes).
Inside, a fresh new colour scheme greeted visitors; an alternative to the standard interior that provided a great example of how Omar can tailor design to taste and requirement.
The clever layout of the open plan living area incorporates a fully fitted designer kitchen, dining area and lounge, providing plenty of space. The generous master bedroom has a dressing area and en-suite and the second bedroom, with twin beds is conveniently positioned opposite the stylish bathroom. For those who want the convenience of being able to work when away, this model even has a study!
Nathalie Montague, Area sales Manager (South) commented: “The Kingfisher has always been a popular model as it’s a particularly great lodge to enjoy a good view from. We were thrilled that the alternate interior was so well received at the show”
The 45’ x 20’ Kingfisher Woodland RT luxury lodge displayed at Stoneleigh has been sold to Lazy Otter Meadows and is available for sale priced from £180,000. For more information please call 01353 648 383 or visit www.lazy-otter.com.
Summing up the show, Omar’s Chief Executive Officer, Dean Westmoreland commented: “2015 has been a fantastic year for us and winning Park Home of the Year for the second year running is a real honour; I would like to thank all those who voted for the Anniversary park home. It’s also been wonderful to celebrate our Anniversary at the show with so many of our friends and customers.
